Helicone is an Apache-2.0 LLM observability tool that works as a proxy: change your base URL and it logs cost, latency and usage across providers, with caching, rate limits and fallbacks. The free plan covers 10,000 requests a month; Pro is $79/month. Mintlify acquired Helicone in March 2026 and moved it to maintenance mode. Its site now says it is no longer part of Mintlify, with details to come (checked October 2026).
