Runway Dev is the developer API of Runway, the company behind the Gen video models. One API key reaches Runway's own models (Gen-4 Turbo, Gen-4.5, Aleph 2) alongside models from other labs, among them Google Veo 3.1, ByteDance Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.
Billing is in credits at $0.01 each, charged per second of video: Gen-4 Turbo costs 5 credits a second and Gen-4.5 costs 12. A model router can pick the model per request by cost, latency or quality. The API also covers image generation, upscaling and audio, with an MCP server for agents.
